Share The Wealth… IF You Dare

I am deeply saddened for America. Those seemingly in charge are in the process of perverting our great nation.  This process has been underway for a number of years now but has certainly been escalated since January 2009.

Our Fore Fathers generated a Constitution and a Bill of Rights based on the premise of a Representative Republic to generate a Government that would allow each and every legal American citizen the ability to pursue his or her life as he/she saw fit. If someone wished to become a Lawyer, the dream certainly could be fulfilled. If someone wished to be President he/she could. If someone chose not to go to school and/or work hard to become a success the right of failure was equally insured by our founding fathers amazing insight. Our founding fathers understood the right to be free insures the personal ability to fail just as much as it insures the right to succeed.

I suspect this aspect of the true definition of freedom and the personal responsibility it not only implies, but
demands, is where we find ourselves today. Those that demand personal entitlements are diametrically opposed to those that demand freedom in the true and pure sense of the word. The one side, the Conservative Right, demands the right to control his/her own life while the other side, the liberal left, demands government give them all the material aspects of life in a feeble attempt of appearing to live the good life. The left demands government intervention to take assets and cash from the hardworking members of our society to elevate their own personal status. The Right demands the right to decide for themselves how their hard earned part of THEIR American dream should be allocated. While it is true the selfish few of the successful ilk historically choose to keep every penny of their toil; the philanthropists on the right allocate much of their “profits” to those he/she sees as needy based on their own terms as is also their right.

The Battle Lines have been drawn.

This battle is as old as human history here on earth. There is nothing new under the sun. One caveman would bash his neighbors head in for a fresh killed mastodon just as today’s person with the same caveman mentality would bash in the head of an entrepreneur just to acquire the spoils of today. I say that metaphorically. The drive to expand government to gain enough control to “spread the wealth” equally between the wealthy and the poor is akin to a club swinging in the air. To take the belongings of someone else, without their blessing, can only be defined one way in the English language. There are many words we use to travel to the same end… Theft, Robbery, Larceny, Pilfering andas the Bible says… “Thou Shalt Not STEAL.” Much of this “It’s OK as long as the Government Does It”, for lack of a better word in the English language is… ignorant. This is Ignorance from the Constitutional knowledge perspective and it also shows deep ignorance from the moral perspective.

Many wish to quote the New Testament as, “Nothing but love and peace to your fellow man.” While this is true, it also teaches precisely what the word “give” means. The New Testament states you must give to your fellow man with a good heart. Through all my many readings of both the New and the Old Testaments I have never, I repeat never, read where it is good to take from someone else even if you wish to immediately give it away. Christ teaches for you to give… NOT for you to give what others already possess. To hold such a stance is to bend THE Word to your own end which most assuredly is denounced many, many times throughout the Bible’s wise teachings. Such man-made perversions of the Bible are precisely why so many wrongly denounce not only Christianity but often any form of organized religion. If you promote redistribution of wealth I most assuredly do NOT wish to stand in your shoes on judgment day.

On the face of it the spread the wealth syndrome sounds good if you allow yourself to begin a mental trip over the edge into the abyss of the amoral “ism’s.” Socialism, Fascism, and Communism, all say it is best if the government allocates funds for “the greater good.” To twist the fundamental premise in OUR Constitution to these same evil ends is nothing short of traitorous. To twist the word of God to the same end is nothing short of evil.
